Every enquiry that lands in your inbox is free. We do not charge per lead, per quote, or per click.

Paid placement is labelled

Results are ordered by how well a trade matches your search, then by claimed profiles and reputation. Top Pal listings are shown first and always labelled Featured.

No commission

Win a job through GotAPal? It is yours. We do not take a percentage of work you do off-platform.

Getting paid

Most trades start free. Many never need anything else.

GotAPal doesn't handle payments. You agree the price and get paid directly, however suits you.

Is GotAPal really free?
Yes. Listing, claiming a listing, receiving reviews, replying to reviews, your profile, gallery, and receiving enquiries are all free. We do not charge customers, and we do not charge trades to be listed or to be contacted.
How does GotAPal make money then?
Top Pal featured placement, at £15 a month, is the one paid extra on GotAPal. The same team, Towpath Digital, also sells 3 Wee Pages websites and UniversalContacts touchpoints. You can use GotAPal forever without paying a penny.
Can I take card payments through GotAPal?
Not yet. ServicePay, for managing jobs and taking card payments, is being built by the same team and is not open yet, so there is nothing to pay for. Until then, agree payment direct with your customer: cash, bank transfer or your own card machine.
Will the free plan ever start charging?
The directory features above, listing, reviews, replies, enquiries, are free and we have no plans to charge for them. Top Pal, featured placement at £15 a month, is the one optional paid extra today, and it is always labelled Featured. The core stays free.
Are reviews really free, even replying?
Yes. Reviews coming in and your replies going out are part of the free directory. Some platforms paywall this, we don't. Your reputation is yours.
